          Biography of Hubert Ingraham

          Hubert Alexander Ingraham is a Bahamian politician and statesman who served as the Prime Minister of the Bahamas.

          Born in Pine Ridge, Grand Bahama, Ingraham studied law in Nassau and became a senior partner in the law firm "Ingraham & Co." in Christie in December 1972. He began his political career in 1975 when he was elected to the National General Council, which was then controlled by the ruling Progressive Liberal Party (PLP).

          Ingraham's political career:

          In addition to serving as a member of the National General Council, Ingraham also held positions such as a member of the Air Transport Licensing Board and Chairman of the Property Tax Tribunal.

          He briefly worked in the accounting department of "Owens-Illinois Sugar Mill Company"
